Gibson Steps is a spectacular spot along the Great Ocean Road. Here, visitors can descend a staircase carved into a 70-meter-high cliff to admire the spectacular view. The Gibson Steps are said to have been built by a farmer named Hugh Gibson, who built the steps on the cliff to take his livestock to the coast. The staircase is made of concrete and has 86 steps, but when we visited, the bottom part was wet, so visitors should be careful when descending and ascending. The Gibson Stairs seem to be open to the public free of charge all year round, but be careful on the day you visit, as the use of the stairs may be restricted depending on the weather and wave conditions. It was a wonderful place to experience the awesomeness of nature with the sound of the waves and the wind. Please visit once.
